[ 8 ] Mind Mapping

Do everyone know what actually mind mapping means?
Do you know how useful they are?

mind map is a diagram used to visually outline information. A mind map is often created around a single word or text, placed in the center, to which associated ideas, words and concepts are added. Major categories radiate from a central node, and lesser categories are sub-branches of larger branches. Categories can represent wordsideas, tasks, or other items related to a central key word or idea.
Mindmaps can be drawn by hand, either as "rough notes" during a lecture or meeting, for example, or as higher quality pictures when more time is available. An example of a rough mind map is illustrated.
Other terms for this diagramming style are: "spider diagrams," "spidergrams," "spidergraphs," "webs", "mind webs", or "webbing", and "idea sun bursting".] (A "spider diagram" used in mathematics and logic is different.)

Mind Map can be used for :--
==> Problem solving
==> Outline / framework design
==> Structure / relationship representations
==> Anonymous collaboration
==> Marriage of words and visuals
==> Individual expression of creativity
==> Condensing material into a concise and memorable format
==> Team building or synergy creating activity
==> Enhancing work morale

Concept maps :-- mind maps differ from concept maps in that mind maps focus on only one word or idea,
whereas concept maps connect multiple words or ideas. Also, concept maps typically have text labels on their connecting lines / arms. Mind maps are based on radial hierarchies and tree structures denoting relationships with a central governing concept, whereas concept maps are based on connections between concepts in more diverse patterns. However, either can be part of a larger personal knowledge base system.

Modelling graphs :-- There is no rigorous right or wrong with mind maps, relying on the arbitrariness of
mnemonic systems. A UML diagram or a semantic network has structured elements modelling relationships, with lines connecting objects to indicate relationship. This is generally done in black and white with a clear and agreed iconography. Mind maps serve a different purpose: they help with memory and organization. Mind maps are collections of words structured by the mental context of the author with visual mnemonics, and through the use of colour, icons and visual links, are informal and necessary to the proper functioning of the mind map.

[ 7 ] How to become a creative person

before reading this[http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-20071644] article for this blog post.I was wondering that why people can invent a lot of invention? Even though is just a small thing but it is useful and convenient.

Based on this article, I found out that people in Australian have their ability and effort by inventing something new.They are sucess to be one of the sucessful country because of their invention.

So,What is invention and innovation?

Invention and Innovation

There is a subtle difference between these two words, but it is an important one for Business Studies students.
  • Invention if the formulation of new ideas for products or processes
  • Innovation is all about the practical application of new inventions into marketable products or services
Most of us have visions of mad inventors who come up with ideas with no practical use! Like everything else in Business Studies, we are interested in activities that actually help a firm meet its objectives, such as growth, profitability, increased market share or stability – so it is Innovation, rather than Invention, that really counts.

In my opinion,to become a creative person,we need some invisible force such as poor environment ,financial crisis and etc.

[6] Tablet VS PC

Today's topic

'The PC is dead, long live the tablet'

means that nowadays, people choose to use tablet rather than laptop
So, why people prefer use tablet?

In my opinion,

Tablet is more convienent than Laptop.It is more easier to carry.
In addition, people choose it because of the design.

Light , thin and simple.

Rather than using laptop ,this is more convienent to people.

But still, some of the people choose Laptop because the it had something that tablet dont have.
Most of the University students choose laptop for their studies
because it is more easy for doing assignment and references.
Besides that, laptop is more cheaper than tablet.
We can use laptop to watch DVDs and CDs.The memory of the laptop is more than tablet.

Every field of the people have their own requirements of things.
they choose the technology based n their ability.
